Nick Gross
CEO
Nick is an artist, entrepreneur and business executive who began his career producing songs for top names like Zendaya, Ariana Grande and Wiz Khalifa which led to the opening of one of LA’s premiere recording studios and a grip of entertainment companies to back it up. Nick now drums for alternative pop rock band Half the Animal and is the founder of Gross Labs, education based platform Find Your Grind, as well as music enterprise Big Noise.
Jon Cohen
President
A twenty-year industry vet, Jon Cohen was the co-founder of prominent indie label Vagrant Records, home to such acts as The 1975, Dashboard Confessional, Edward Sharpe and countless others. After selling the label to BMG in 2014, Cohen took over as head of recorded music for North America at the German conglomerate. He left BMG in 2017 to join Big Noise in 2018.
John Feldmann
Head of A&R
John formed notorious Orange County band Goldfinger in 1994 and quickly became an A&R representative for Warner Bros. Records & Maverick Records where he signed The Used, City Sleeps, Story of the Year, and Mest.
He has done production work with Good Charlotte, The Used, Atreyu, Escape the Fate, Panic! At the Disco, Boys Like Girls, 5 Seconds of Summer and Blink 182. Most recently he produced the seventh studio album for Blink 182 titled “California” which nominated he and the band their first Grammy nomination for “Best Rock Album”. Also in July 2017 John was awarded the “Influencer” Award at the Alt Press Music Awards. As Head of A&R at Big Noise, John started the company with the idea to find and produce the next up-and-coming artists and continue his track record of developing successful acts world-wide.
Adam Muhlbaum
General Manager
Adam Muhlbaum’s experience in records and publishing spans multiple areas of expertise including marketing, project management and operations.
After graduating from NYU with a degree in Music Business in 2013, Adam began his career at BMG where he worked on multiple #1 albums and singles from blink-182, Janet Jackson, Iron Maiden and many others. After working as the head of sales & operations at Dim Mak Records, Adam is now focused on developing Big Noise and its artists into powerful forces in the music business.
Heather Castillo
Vice President, Marketing
As Vice President of Marketing, Heather’s responsibilities encompass marketing strategies, project management, brand partnerships, and creative digital campaigns.
Previously to working at Big Noise, Heather worked as an Artist Project Manager for the distribution company and record label Amuse. She was integrally involved in all facets of the company’s operations, including artist signings across all genres, project management, marketing, and label relations. Prior to that, she worked at an artist management company as the Director of Talent and as a day-to-day manager for several artists. She also worked in marketing management at Simon Cowell’s label SYCO and previously worked in tour/content production on projects for Kanye West & Rae Sremmurd.
Robert Briggs
Rights Management Consultant
Robert works with the Big Noise team, distribution and administration partners to ensure we effectively collect and account income for our clients.
Since 2019, Robert and his firm Levity Music, LLC have partnered with numerous music creatives and rights owners on optimizing the teams, processes and systems needed to effectively administer music rights around the world.
Prior to founding Levity and working with Big Noise, Robert headed rights management functions at both BMG and EMI Music Publishing, where he helped develop and lead the teams and technology handling rights administration.
Many years ago, Robert graduated from Davidson College and NYU’S graduate program in Music Business.
Josh Cohen
Manager, Label Operations
As Manager, Label Operations at Big Noise, Josh contributes to the development of marketing plans and campaign management, along with ensuring marketing program execution between the internal teams and external stakeholders.
Josh graduated cum laude from Emerson College with a BS in Journalism. In addition, he was a NCAA baseball player earning all-conference academic honors. Josh has completed coursework in Music Business at Berklee College of Music and International Entertainment & Marketing at Yonsei University. As a Studio & Business Associate at MØXE studios in Nashville, Josh supported artist management by assisting in transforming their visions into productions (including Judah & The Lion, Katie Kadan, and Sarah Potenza). Josh also interned for Good Fear Content where he collaborated with managers to identify rising directors, writers, and producers.
Beyond work, Josh has a passion for songwriting (including producing his own music video), rooting for his Bay Area sports teams, and chilling with his two brothers.
